Christmas Spirit

Dear blog readers,

I want to thank for all of you, who visit my blog regularly and read what I have experience in my gardening life. For this holiday season I want to share some warm Christmas Spirit that I surround myself.  I wish this blog will be more live next year, because my garden will get more mature, I get more seedlings blooming and some more entertainments for next year. So stay tuned.
In first photo you see my entry to house. I decorated them with Picea - fir tree, Cornus (a.k.a. dogwood) and some Crataegus branches. It does look very nice. Even birds are eating berries fast, but I still see some. Wish they leave seeds, so I can grow them in hedges and have material for next seasons. It does look nice. Because it is simple. I found this idea on Facebook. Can not describe source more clear. It was just quick tutorial video, and in few weeks I get in mind, that it could look nice here too. In left is our Christmas tree. This year theme - red/white Christmas. Red is spirit and celebration and white - snow. I think that it is 4th Christmas in row without snow. Even so, yesterday was +12 C (53.6 F ) outside. Not good, because some seeds already get cold time and now it is warm enough to start vegetation. Fingers crossed for cooler nights.

Few days we had frosts on everything. That was so magical. In sun that is like fairy dusts sprinkled on everything. So one day, after hard day at University I stopped and enjoy those little diamonds of nature. Explored nature and capture some nice photos. There is one of them.
Yesterday was last official day at University this year. Last lecture was pretty hard and not remind last day. But group made some nice theme with cake and sweets. And I sneak earlier to meet my best friends from school. What a day. We went to city and seen some nice Christmas spirit around. On right is main Christmas tree of Kaunas city in City Hall square. If you not heard about it - it is smart. There is some devices like for example - little train in front of tree with stick, and when you spin it, wheels of Toy Train spin also. Other you sing close to piano and Ballerina toy on tree spins. That was so magical and cute. I really adore all trees. There is artist, who each year create amazing Christmas tree. And this old fashioned with new functions is simply cute.
That sparkling toy is as big as I am 1.8 m (5.9 feet) or even bigger. It is decorations of our city in front of Kaunas Castle. When we came to that place, we heard loud fireworks, so we run to see them closer. And I loved great show. I uploaded video on my facabook profile. So can come and look for it.

And here is Kaunas Castle Christmas tree. Right after it was lighten up. You can still see Santa Clause on the left side, taking pictures with kids and parents. So great time spent. I know this is great to enjoy Christmas in City. Do not look for commercial shows or decorations. Simply enjoy things that are close and look so nice.
I wish you all to have a moment when you fully enjoy Christmas. For me it is magical and very nice time of the year (no counting of blooming seasons). And to bring some summer colors to this magical time I created greeting cards for all International friends and people who read my blog. Used three daylily seedlings. Two of them are mine and red one is from William's Marchant seeds. Sorry, if you do not see your language. At least you might understand any of those. I am not an expert of languages. So used translating program for that. In total I liked to make that, because I see someone in each greeting and that bring me lots of joy.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Best wishes,

Edvinas
